Slovak milk and dairy products should be more widely represented on the shelves of large retail chains doing business in Slovakia, according to the Slovak Agriculture and Food Chamber (SPPK). Milan Semančík, provided the results of a supply-chain survey it conducted at Tesco hypermarkets, at the Lidl discount chain and at CO-OP Jednota stores in Bratislava between March 10 and 17.

SPPK found that the lowest share of Slovak dairy products was in Lidl stores – just 19.5 percent, with German and Czech products making up as much as 63.7 percent. At the same time, domestic dairy products in Lidl stores in the Czech Republic made up 47.2 percent of the total, with Slovak products reaching only 3.5 percent. Second pillar pension funds may help finance highway construction

A key agreement between Prime Minister Robert Fico and private pension fund management companies is in the dealings. Fico appealed to the pension fund management companies on Saturday, February 28, asking them to suggest how they want to help the Slovak economy in the time of economic crisis.
Long-term resources they administer in the pension funds might be invested in Slovakia’s highway construction. They would be able to allocate about €660 million for the highway construction in a relatively short time.

Fico has not yet given public approval to the idea. He will be meeting with shareholders of the pension fund management companies on the evening of March 3.

Gucci

Frida Giannini's populist approach to Gucci has the ability to divide opinion between girls all over the world who see nothing wrong with buying into her accessible channeling of trends, and critics who wish for something more directional at this level of luxe. Still, in these extreme times, maybe that's splitting hairs. When a designer sees her market, it would be insanity not to go for it, and in Giannini's case, that means aiming at nightclubbing girls who might be tempted by a glittery upgrade on the slick-leather leg and big-top look all urban teenagers are rocking this year.

We eat mostly what's available at home. That's why it's important to control the supply lines — the foods that you serve for meals and have on hand for snacks.
Follow these basic guidelines:
Work fruits and vegetables into the daily routine, aiming for the goal of at least five servings a day. Be sure you serve fruit or vegetables at every meal.
Choose healthy snacks by keeping fruits and vegetables on hand and ready to eat. Other good snacks include low-fat yogurt, peanut butter and celery, or whole-grain crackers and cheese. Serve lean meats and other good sources of protein, such as fish, eggs, beans, and nuts.
Choose whole-grain breads and cereals so you get more fiber.
Limit fat intake by avoiding deep-fried foods and choosing healthier cooking methods, such as broiling, grilling, roasting, and steaming.
Choose low-fat or nonfat dairy products.
Limit fast food and other low-nutrient snacks, such as chips and candy.
Limit sugary drinks, such as soda and fruit-flavored drinks. Serve water and low-fat milk instead.
